Y’all. Just wait until you see Lauren and Anthony’s wedding. I was really hoping to narrow it down to around 50 pictures to show you, and I managed to get it down to 122. Yeahhhh… I might have a problem with being slightly indecisive.
Lauren and Anthony are friends from my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, and when they got engaged, I told Aaron that I would die if they asked me to shoot their wedding. Well, I am still alive, but after reading this blog post, you’ll definitely be able to see why it ended up being a really close call. ;)
The great thing about The Ribault Club is that it’s actually impossible to not have a gorgeous wedding. Between the history of the club, the ceremony site that features the most BREATH-TAKING oak tree, and amazing service, it is one of my favorite venues to shoot. The details that Lauren and Anthony incorporated throughout their day managed to make it even more beautiful, but my favorite part of the day was seeing their excitement and anticipation build up to the moment that Lauren walked down the aisle. It’s no secret that I love first looks, but my favorite moment of every wedding is when the groom sees his bride for the first time – first look or not.
Lauren and Anthony, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. And an extra thank you for having the best wedding favors of all time. All the heart eyes for baby succulents. May they rest in peace. Enjoy my favorites from their day, and congrats if you make it to the end of this post. ;)
Lauren is such a simple, natural beauty, and her Willowby by Watters dress was a perfect compliment to that for her wedding day. I actually gasped when I saw it for the first time. Also, I wanted steal it, go back in time, and wear it for my wedding.
A crown of greenery? Yes, please.
That illusion neckline….
Oh, man. I love this image.
These are all of Lauren’s nieces… How special is that?!
I don’t normally share family portraits, but this is my argument for having them taken outdoors, even if your ceremony is indoors.
The word I kept thinking when I was shooting Lauren’s bridal portraits was “ethereal”. She was simply stunning.
Meanwhile, the guys got ready for the day…
One of my favorite details of Anthony and Lauren’s wedding was the guys’ dark olive suits. I love that they strayed away from the normal and how well they complimented the girls’ blush gowns.
It’s extra fun when I personally know half of the bridal party, especially when that includes the cutest ring bearers of all time. Oh my word, y’all. Heartbreakers right here.
How amazing are these boutonnieres? They tied in beautifully with Lauren’s crown.
I love me some asymmetry!
Well, they almost got it right. :)
Favorite. <3
Or this one. Yeah, this one. Okay, maybe two favorites.
Such beautiful details!
Every detail was so thought-out and romantic.
And a donut bar? I’m totally assuming here, but I think it’s safe to say that this was every guests’ favorite part of the reception.
Not only was their cake stunning, but it was handmade by one of their guests. How amazing is that?!
Love.
When your brother is in attendance at the wedding you’re shooting, you are required to post dancing pictures of him.
Anthony knows how to throw down a killer dougie.
Oh, hey other brother!
Lauren surprised her dad with a private father-daughter dance while everyone else prepared for their sparkler exit. So sweet!
Happy Thursday!
