I woke up on March 12th, looked out my window and squealed a little. Though the preceding days had been grey and dreary, this day was the perfect weather to kick of wedding season. Great weather = Happy photographer.
Matt and Emily became husband and wife on this day at Lynchburg’s The Aviary. With about 70 people in attendance, their day was so special and intimate, and I was so thrilled to be apart of it all. As the following pictures prove, the Toogoods are such an awesome couple who truly love the Lord, one another, their friends and family, and they know how to break it down on the dance floor. :)
I was so excited when I heard that Matt and Emily chose these cupcakes from Taste Selects instead of a traditional cake.
How awesome are these?!
Elisha from Petal Flower Company is responsible for all of the breath-taking flowers.
I hung out with the guys for a bit…
And then headed over to hang out with the ladies…
I love it when a bride does something fun with her garters. Matt’s a huge Penn State fan, so these were perfect for him!
Emily was an absolute DREAM to shoot. I could have shot her all day long. For real…
I love some good lashes.
Emily had such a great group of women surrounding her that day.
And ya’ll know how I feel about pink, so I was loving these dresses.
The women said a prayer before the ceremony.
Matt and Emily had their ceremony at 4:30pm, the day before the time change. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
God was clearly the lighting director. :)
And they were officially Mr. & Mrs. Matt Toogood!!
Seriously, Emily?? You have got the most killer eyes of all time.
FAVORITES.
Again, hire Petal Flower Company. Their work is BEAUTIFUL!
The Aviary was the perfect setting for Matt & Emily’s intimate reception.
And lit by white strands of Christmas lights? Yes, PLEASE!
The evening began with some toasts…
Which led to some dancing…
Which led to some more dancing…
Like mother, like daughter. :)
Emily’s sister and Maid of Honor, Kari, caught Emily’s bouquet.
I love these shots of Matt & Emily showing their guests how it’s done. :)
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Toogood! I’m so thankful that I was able to be a part of capturing your special day. :)
