I have a confession to make: I am a jealous photographer. Before you get all judge-y, let me explain… I love, love, love the brides & grooms that I get to work with, and I want to work with them exclusively and as much as possible. This is why I offer complimentary engagement sessions to every couple that books me for their wedding! If I have a couple book me for their wedding but want to do their engagement session with another photographer, this creates a weird situation for both of us because I miss that hour of bonding time with my couples before their wedding. Having this time together makes the wedding day pictures SO much more relaxed and comfortable, and it allows me to get to know the couple’s quirks and how they interact. Now, I totally understand that distance sometimes makes this impossible. I have multiple couples booked for weddings this summer who live more than a 5 hour drive away. Obviously, I would love to have the opportunity to shoot their engagement session, but I also understand that most couples don’t have an extra $600+ to pay for my travel… But I’ll still be a little jealous. :)
Today, I’m sharing an engagement session with you that I shot last week in the midst of a snowless blizzard. Yes, they actually exist. I was so excited to meet Grant & Brittany for the first time, and our session got me so excited for their May wedding. It will be the epitome of southern class, and I wish I could fast-forward to their day right now! These two might be the sweetest couple that I’ve ever worked with, and they have been together for SIX YEARS. That’s got to win some sort of award. Despite the fact that it was freezing, I had so much fun with Grant & Brittany and loved getting to know them as a couple. It was evident from the very beginning of our session that Grant loves Brittany with such a sweet, gentle love, and they were so adorable laughing and keeping each other warm. Enjoy my favorites from our session!
I love it that Brittany has to stand on her tip-toes to reach Grant. We’re totally kindred spirits in that area. :)
Let’s get a slow-clap going for Grant’s incredible beard…
I love shooting at Old Main on the University of Arkansas’ campus, especially since it’s so significant to Grant & Brittany.
AH! So sweet. :)
This girl is going to be a GORGEOUS bride!
In case you’re wondering (because I was), Brittany’s beautiful coat is from Anthropologie… The land of beautiful things I can’t afford.
Love these! How do I always get blessed with the sweetest and most adorable couples?!
I’ll end with my favorite… :)
Grant & Brittany, I can’t wait to be apart of yall’s wedding day… Counting down the days to May 18th! :) Happy Wednesday!
Ps… I’ll be announcing a Valentine’s giveaway on my Facebook page tomorrow, so be on the lookout!
