There are people in this world who I just love, and I just LOVE Kyle and Kristin. They are probably one of my top three favorite couples in the entire world and got married this past March. Let me start with Kristin… I guess you could call her my boss, but that word brings such a stiff and sometimes negative connotation. Kristin is neither stiff nor negative. She is actually awesome. She’s the kind of person who will bring you chocolate when you’re having a bad day or tell you an embarrassing story just for a good laugh. In the 4 months that she’s been my “boss”, I’ve never seen her get angry, upset or worried. She’s super chill, knows how to laugh at life and is one of greatest examples of a godly woman. And Kyle… We share the bond of procrastination. And we’re not talking about a little bit of procrastination. We’re the type of procrastinators who turn in assignments with 30 seconds (or sometimes less) to spare. It’s exhilarating, people! Who needs rollercoasters when you’re racing the clock to 11:59?? Kyle also loves Conan and makes/produces fantastic music. If you know what’s good for you, you will go buy his album. Great windows down, driving under the stars music. Bottom line: These people are great, and I loved being able to capture their love. I know, Internet. Could I sound anymore cheesy? Don’t judge me!

I will make a few observations before the pictures begin. #1 – The fall leaves… Are you kidding me, Lynchburg? THE BEST. #2 – Kristin’s eyes are ridiculous. No, I did not make them any bluer. Is that a word? There’s no red, squiggly line under it, but it doesn’t look right. #3 – They’re just plain beautiful/precious/adorable together. Here are some of my favorites from their shoot a few weeks ago…

Told you. BEST LEAVES EVER.

Definitely my favorite.

We met a caterpillar along the way… I thought I’d share. :)

Favorite #2. A very close second…

Kristin has a very strong affinity for crunchy leaves… Like strong enough for Kyle to go “crunchy leaf hunting” so that they were incorporated in his proposal. Told ya… Presh.

Favorite #3. Is it possible to have too many favorites? I submit no.

See… You can see the love in her eyes. Kristin, you’re the best. :)

Happy new week, Internet! I hope it’s phenom. :)

Currently, I’m sitting on my comfy couch at home, drinking coffee and watching What Not to Wear. Good day? I submit yes. On Tuesday, I sneak attacked my family by coming home for Thanksgiving break two days earlier than I had told them. It is so nice just to be able to relax, not worry about school work and hang out with friends and family. The last two weeks were killer for me. I wrote way too many papers, completely too many assignments and read too many pages of not-fun books. My goal is to not do any school work until I get back to school on the 28th. Oh yeah… That’s a long time. Holla. With all this free time, I can finally play catch up on editing!

A couple of weeks ago, Cody & Becca drove down from Maryland for their engagement shoot. Holy dedication, Batman. When I am in a car for a long time, I always end up looking like a hott mess by the end of the trip. Cody & Becca got out of the car looking awesome, and I’m really not sure how. Tell me your secret!! Before I start every session, I tell clients that it’ll probably take them a little bit to get warmed up to the camera – It’s totally normal. Well, Cody & Becca were so natural from the get-go. They have such great chemistry, and their love totally comes across in their pictures. I have the privilege of shooting their wedding on April 30, 2011, and I am stoked! And without further ado, here are some of my favorites from their session…

Because I’m such a fan of shoes, I really appreciate couples who wear great shoes to their shoot.

So beautiful.

Becca… You are two things: fierce and adorable.

I was adjusting some settings on my camera, and when I looked up Cody was just twirling Becca in the middle of the street. I have the best clients. So presh. :)

Guess when they’re getting married…

And I’ll end with my favorite. Sunlight, a blue sky and kissing?? Yes, please!

Horses: One of my greatest fears. Why, you ask? Well, they are huge, powerful and I’ve known quite a few people who have had some not-so-great encounters with them. Yeah, I grew up with pets, and I certainly don’t hate animals. However, my idea of an awesome animal is a hamster, or my 4lb. puppy, Palynn. Yes, Palynn… As in, Sarah, but spelled wrong. Don’t judge me. Judge my mom. So I’m afraid of horses, and one of my friends approaches me about doing some portraits for her… with her horse. Gulp. Now internet, I will be the first to admit that this is a completely irrational fear that I cannot hide behind for forever. I mean, I’m not around horses like everyday, but I can’t just turn down good business because of a dumb fear. So I braved it. And Internet, I survived! Obviously…

I met Jordan in August 2009, when she arrived here at Liberty for her freshman year. I got to know her throughout the year, and she eventually joined my hall’s leadership team. And let me just tell you… This girl ROCKS. Not only is she stunningly beautiful, which you will see in a few minutes, but her inner beauty far exceeds her outer. I know… How is that even possible? But it’s true. I promise. She a huge passion for the nations and hopes to work in medical missions one day. Told you she’s awesome. Jordan is such a blessing in my life, and I was so glad that I got to take her senior pictures… Even if they are a few years late! :)

Meet Diamond.

The whole shoot, I kept telling Jordan that she was reminding me of a brunette Taylor Swift. Yeah? It’s a love story… Baby, just say yesssss!

Ridiculous, Jordan. Ridiculous.

100% my favorite. So incredibly stunning.

These boots were made for walkin’… Through awesome fields.

I have a very strong affinity for bows, and what a better way to end a post! Happy Wednesday, Internet! :)
