This week’s happys go to:

-Getting my office/our guest bedroom painted and cleaned out!!! Not only can we now walk around in it, but it’s actually starting to look like an office! Yay!
-Blogging 5 days this week… I’m actually starting to show signs of discipline. :)
-Making homemade french fries that were DELISH last night for dinner. Thanks again, Pinterest. :)
-Being a Twitter celebrity. Okay… So I’m not really a celebrity, but I definitely had 15 minutes of Twitter fame yesterday. Not only did Aaron & I get a response from Dave Barnes (my first true love), but I also got reweeted by Jase Robertson from Duck Dynasty!

By the way, I would NEVER throw away a picture of Dave Barnes & I.

This week’s sads go to:

-Being on the last disc of Friends, season 10. Have I seen the series 30+ times? Yes. Will I start over as soon as I’m done? Yes. Still sad.
-The price of groceries. I mean really… Can’t we can’t just come up with a bartering system or something?
-This awful cold that won’t seem to go away. I was down for the count on Sunday & Monday, and even though I’ve felt fine since then, I’m still going through tissues like it’s my job. My poor little nosey. :(
-Helicopter Man, Party DJ, & Mushroom Farmer still being on The Bachelorette. I mean, come on Emily… Grow some eyeballs!

Happy Weekend, Internet! :)

David & Rachel are having a baby!!!! Well, to be more specific, Rachel is having a baby. With less than two weeks til her due date, I’m anxiously waiting for a text from our neighbors announcing that she’s in labor. I’ll finally be able to find out if I need to order a baby hair flower or baby bow tie for their little one!! YAY! These people are going to be such great parents, and I’m convinced that Aaron & I will be equally great babysitters. :)

Rachel is seriously SO beautiful, the lighting that evening was divine, and David’s beard was epic, as always… Aka the perfect recipe for a beautiful photos. Here are some of my favorites…

Seriously, Rachel? Dang, woman.

One of my favorites. :)

Shout-out to my super-hott second shooter in training!

I know I already said this in another post, but this may be one of my favorite pictures of all time.

AH! LOVE!!!!

And then we ventured into a field of horses… FOUR. Four horses, people! If you know me, you know this was one of the top 5 most frightening moments of my life. There were many laughs had at my expense because of this.

Hellooooo, perfect lighting.

Definitely my favorite.

And here is the SCARIEST moment of my life captured… By me, somehow.

Yeah… That one took me a little while to recover from.

Can’t wait to meet you, Baby Mac! :)

I’ve always wanted to hop on board this ‘Wedding Wednesday’ blogger trend, but I never felt ‘legit’ enough. You know, since I’d never had a wedding. Obviously, I’m an expert now (false), but I would love to be able to share some of the time and money savers I found along the way while planning our wedding.

I’ve always been a big fan of antique malls, even though spending more than 20 minutes in one will send me into a crazed allergic reaction. Totally unfortunate, I know. One Saturday, my mom and I were on a quest for lace curtains (different project for another post), and we came upon an outdoor antique mall… That was overrun by cats. This would have been nice to know ahead of time because I probably would have taken a Benadryl or not gone to it at all. Now looking back, I’m glad we didn’t know this cause we did find some some golden treasures…

Just kidding… Those are horrific, and I apologize if they give you nightmares tonight. But my mom & I did stumble upon an awesome framed canvas. Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of the lovely painting (I know, crazy), but it was perfect for a Pinterest project that wanted to do for the wedding. So I bought this framed painting for $4 and totally revamped with a little bit of white paint & chalkboard spray paint.

Looking back now, I wish I had sanded down the canvas before painting it with the chalkboard paint because it had originally been painted with lots of varying textures. I’m sure there’s a much more official artist term for this kind of paint. There’s a few places on the canvas that are pretty difficult to write on with chalk, but it still worked. Here’s the final product:

If there would have been a little more money in the budget, I probably would have hired a calligrapher to write out the timeline, but for a $8 project, I’d say it turned out great… And it was a great way to show guests our story, without them having to read or listen to an entire novel. :)

One of the best things about my wedding projects is that most of them have been able to find a home in our little apartment of love. Now, our chalkboard is displayed as one of the first things you see when you walk in… And it’s so easy to change it week to week!

Projects like these are what made wedding planning bearable… Especially when you had such a cute assistant like this! :)

Happy Wednesday! :)
