In March, I was able to shoot our church’s baby dedication and met some super awesome families through it! When Melissa contacted me to do a full session for her daughter’s 1st birthday, I was so excited because Mia was easy to remember. Beautiful blue eyes, adorable smile, infectious laugh, and so much fun to shoot! Enjoy some of my favorites…

I love Mia’s nursery! Pink, grey, and elephant themed. SO adorable.
Sidenote: Melissa got Mia’s bedding from Restoration Hardware. I didn’t even know they had baby stuff, but I’m just a little excited about it!

Mia wore a dress that was her mom’s as a baby for part of our session… As a lover of all things vintage, I was dying over it!

Love that smile!

One of my favorites…

Every girl needs some bling!

For part two of our session, we found a pretty field to snap a few Christmas card pictures of Mia and her brother AJ.
How adorable are they?!

Thanks to a freakishly windy day, our ballon plans had to be improvised, but I love how they turned out!

Favorite!

Happy Birthday, Mia! :)

First off, I really can’t believe I just wrote ‘2013’. And I especially can’t believe that it’s only 62 days away. SIXTY-TWO. Seriously… Fastest year ever. Back to the point of this post…

Callie is one of the first students that I met when visiting Arkansas for the first time in November. I love that I was able to shoot her senior pictures, but I hate having them as a reminder that she won’t be in the youth group at our church next year. I know God is going to do huge things in this beautiful lady’s life, and I’m excited to see what that is! Also, I have to give high-fives to myself for this shoot because I did it in the middle of having the flu. Yeah… It was pretty awful, but Callie is awesome and still made me laugh in the midst of feeling like death. :)

Even though I can’t pull them off, I totally love a good pair of Chucks.

This past weekend, Aaron & I had a visit from my best friends all the way from Florida. It was such an awesome weekend… Totally felt like a little bit of Florida came with them, and that made my heart happy. :) On Sunday night, while deciding what movie to watch, we discovered that Amy had never seen That Thing You Do! Now Internet, if you have never seen this movie, stop reading this RIGHT NOW, and go watch it! It’s in my top 3 movies of all time. I remember seeing this movie in the theater at the age of 7 and thinking that Liv Tyler was the prettiest person I had ever seen. There’s a scene where she wears the most elegant dress that I had ever seen, and this weekend I was reminded of how much I still love that look on Liv.

Somehow, Google could not find a better picture of Liv in this scene, but you get the picture… Just so regal. And can we please talk about how that top bun has totally come back in style from the 60’s?!

Anyways, all that got me to thinking about my favorite dresses from movies throughout the years… My reminiscing was very nostalgic, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites. If you were looking for a really inspiring blog post to encourage & challenge you, today is probably not your day… At least not here.

Oh, Hermione. If I could take your place at the Yule Ball just to wear this dress, I totally would.

Anyone having flashbacks to the 90’s/renaissance? I certainly don’t want to be a fairy, but let’s be honest… If you were gonna crash a ball to make your evil stepsisters really jealous & angry, this would be the dress to do it in.

I feel like every woman in America was at one point in love with Kate Hudson’s dress in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I remember prom the year after this movie came out… Yellow silky dresses EVERYWHERE.

If I could steal all of Rachel McAdams’ dresses from The Notebook, I would, but this one is my favorite. Doesn’t it make you wish you could go back in time to the 40’s?

And lastly, from my favorite movie of all time, Jennifer Grey’s dress from the final dance in Dirty Dancing. The perfect dress for the most epic movie dance of all time. Also, I miss Patrick. :(

Now, I KNOW I’m not the only girl in the world that has favorite movie dresses, so tell me! What are yours? :)
