You’ve been searching for the perfect cake topper for 5 months, but nothing you’ve found seems to be cutting it. They’re all too plastic-y, bird themed, or 90’s looking. It’s getting pretty close to your wedding, so if you don’t find it in the next week, you’ll be stuck with the one your mom picked up on clearance at Michael’s for .99 cents. Yeesh. Then it happens. One moment, you’re aimlessly scrolling through Pinterest, and the next moment, you’re face to face with your DREAM cake topper. YES! It is everything you’ve been looking for and more. You click the image to be taken to the cake topper’s website because you’re ordering it this very second! And then, your worst nightmare happens… “The webpage cannot be found. HTTP 404.” You exit the window and try clicking again, hoping someone in internet world is just playing a cruel joke on you. But no. The error message appears again, and just like that, you’re back to square one.

Yeah, maybe my portrayal of ‘bride looking for perfect wedding cake topper’ was a little dramatic, but as I past bride, I know how FRUSTRATING that moment of planning can be when you can’t seem to find what you’re looking for anywhere! Ya’ll know that I LOVE Pinterest and have reaped its many benefits, but there are times that it just doesn’t do the job perfectly. Please, don’t stone me… I’m just speaking the truth! Time and time again, I have pinned recipes, jewelry, a DIY project, etc, only to later find that the pin doesn’t exist.  How does this even happen??? This can be INCREDIBLY frustrating, especially when carefully planning out the details of a wedding.

Enter Cloud Parade!

A group amazing photographers that I’ve followed for years have recently launched Cloud Parade… An awesome wedding community that allows brides (or anyone for that matter) to browse products from hundreds of different vendors. The thing that’s so awesome about Cloud Parade is its filtering options! Say you really are looking for that perfect cake topper. You can search ‘cake topper’ and then narrow the search results by color and style, which is SO much more efficient then sorting through thousands of unorganized pins on Pinterest. Once you’ve found the perfect item, you can add it to your inspiration board and purchase it right then and there. Watch this short video to really understand the power and efficiency of Cloud Parade:

See what I’m saying? SO clever, adorable, and workable! Plus, their branding is spot on and PERFECT for the market they’re in! If you are a bride, you NEED to sign up TODAY! I only wish this had existed when Aaron & I were engaged, as I’m sure it would have saved me MANY headaches. I was browsing around the site today, and here are some adorable things I discovered in the process!

How amazing is this cake topper?! I figured it was appropriate. :)

And this hair piece? I’m seriously dying over here!!!!

And a little something for Aaron, cause I’m a good wife like that. :)

Happy Wednesday! :)

This fall, Aaron and I had the chance to take a mini roadtrip to visit our sweet friends who recently moved to Tyler, Texas. The Lamontes are not only amazing because they set me up with my super handsome husband but for so many other reasons… They are hilarious, hospitable, love, encouraging, thrifty, and they might actually love Friends as much as we do. Did I mention they set us up? Yeah… Super thankful for these people! On our way back to Fayetteville after our quick visit, Aaron and I immediately agreed that we felt like we had just attended the most fun and chill marriage conference of all time. Danny and Lynne have the kind of marriage that we pray we’ll also have everyday, and it was so encouraging and challenging to observe them doing life together over the weekend. Not only that, but they have three beautiful children that are SO respectful, obedient, and a blast to be around. Basically, Aaron and I want to be just like them when we grow up. :)

The first session I did with the Lamontes was in August of 2011 (see it here), and it is so crazy to see how the kiddos have grown so much in that short amount of time! All of these pictures were taken at their house in Tyler… If I lived there, there’s a strong chance I would never be able to find a reason to go anywhere else for sessions. :) Here are my favorites!

So much sass going on between these two…

Here comes my obligatory comment about how married people should never stop getting pictures taken…
Checkmark for Danny & Lynne!

Ya’ll are just precious. :)

Oh, you know, just the world’s most perfect oak tree on the side of their house. I kinda love Texas because of this.

Abby is now 5 going on 18. :)

This picture makes me a little sad because I cannot believe how fast this sweet guy has grown up! He is definitely not baby Noah anymore.

And Maddie is quite the personality these days. :)

Danny & Lynne… Well done.

Thanks for being so wonderful Lamontes… The Crawfords love ya’ll! :)

Happy Tuesday!

1. Brother Sewing Machine – This was my surprise Christmas gift from Aaron. He seriously did so goo this year! I’m not gonna lie… I’m totally intimidated by the thing, but that’s probably because I’ve watched far to many hours of Project Runway and expect myself to be sewing like the contestants by next month. I finally attempted my first project and made this cotton infinity scarf, and I think I’m ready to attempt a pillow cover or two.

2. Hillsong’s ‘Cornerstone’ – If you haven’t heard it, take a listen here. Such an incredible song filled with truths about our great and sovereign God!

3. Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel – Okay, I’ll admit this one is a little weird, and no, I do not have any big news to share. I saw this on Pinterest (shocker), and I’m so glad I gave it a try. If you’re like me, your skin gets super, super dry in the winter. Enter baby oil gel… After you get out of the shower, don’t completely dry off your legs and apply a dime sized amount to each leg. I can assure you that your legs will feel amazing and won’t get that ashy, itchy feel all winter. I also put it on my elbows, heels, and sometimes my arms. Thanks, Pinterest!

4. Old Navy Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans – I wear these almost every single day because they are incredibly comfortable and feel like leggings but have the thickness of jeans. I will say that the sizing is very awkward… I started with a size bigger than I normally wear (what reviews recommended), then switched to my normal size because they stretched and did not shrink back in the dryer. Then, I switched AGAIN to a size smaller than I normally wear because they ended up stretching even more, and that’s what ended up working perfectly for me! Shout-out to Old Navy’s return policy for being super awesome… Always keep your tags and receipts. :) You can buy them here.

5. Eucerin Repair Handcreme – Again, this goes back to dry skin in the winter time when my favorite Bath & Body Works lotions just aren’t cutting it… I picked up this stuff at Walmart and always carry it in my purse. It’s super moisturizing without that gross greasy feeling that so many lotions have, so I would definitely recommend it!

6. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix –  Oh my gosh… This book is SO good. Yes, I am a nerd. I can’t believe I’m almost done with the Harry Potter series. :(

7. Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus – In an attempt to eat healthier, this was one of my recent picks at the grocery store. Of course, it’s definitely not healthy in the amounts I normally eat it, but at least it’s not Nutella!

Happy Monday! :)
