Pinterest has been really rocking my world this week… Here are my favorites!

Does Cream of Chicken freak anyone else out, or is that just me? I found this recipe for homemade Cream of Chicken, and it is WAY less sketchy than that junk that comes out of a can. I tried it in a casserole recipe, and it was awesome! Definitely repeat-worthy!

This armoire is just plain beautiful… I can’t wait to replicate it when we have a house one day.

A popcorn bar at a wedding?! How brilliant is this? It could be done in such an adorable way, and it’s totally cost-effective!

Now, let’s be honest. The reason that you came to my blog today was NOT to read all about my Pinterest favorites. You came to see who won the Valentine’s Day Giveaway! Before I get to who won, I have to acknowledge how many people commented on the giveaway saying that they hadn’t EVER had professional pictures done. If you fit into this category, PLEASE make it a priority to get pictures done soon, whether or not it’s with me! I promise that you won’t regret it.

I’m so overwhelmed by how many people entered the giveaway, and the truth is, I WISH I could giveaway a session to everyone! Aaron would not be too happy with this because of the whole earning an income thing. BUT I did decide that I wanted more people to win, so I’m also going to giveaway two sessions for half-price! Yay for more winners!!! Okay… I’ve been delaying for long enough. Here are the winners!!!

Winner of the hour long session, disc of edited images, and copyright release:
ALLISON WHITEHOUSE!!!

Winners of the hour long session, disc of edited images, and copyright release for half-price:
TRAYCIE WEBB!!!
&
WHITNEY BACCUS!!!

Thanks to everyone who entered!!! If you are one of the winners, please email me at kelsey@kelseytice.com, so we can set up your sessions! :) Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

I’ve wanted to do monthly Instagram recaps for a while now, but until this morning, I couldn’t figure out how make an awesome little collage with them… Turns out it is SO easy to do through BlogStomp, and I’m kind of embarrassed I didn’t figure it out sooner. For a photographer, I sure have a lot to learn when it comes to computers. When I finally figured it out, I decided that I might as well post January’s recap, even though February is already half way over… Better late than never, right?

Noteworthy moments of January:

-Our vacation to Florida to see both of our families.
-The Biggest Loser premier! (My favorite show of all time.)
-Aaron enjoying his new shared office… He looks so grown up. :)
-Developing TMJ after 2 weeks of a double ear infection. Yay for wearing a mouth guard at night!
-Finishing Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire.
-Attempting my first project with my new sewing machine… Infinity Scarf!
-Starting to blog consistently again! It’s been so much fun!
-Shooting my best friend’s engagement session.
-Cold weather. Boo.
-Spending lots of time with the Noley Girl.
-Thrifting, obviously.
-Working out consistently at Planet Fitness.
-Attending my first ever gymnastics meet at the University of Arkansas. It was really fun!

Also, on an unrelated note, I have to say Happy Birthday to my Mom/twin! She is the most godly, spontaneous, thoughtful, prayerful, adventurous, faithful, coffee-addicted woman I know, and I’m so glad that she’s not only my mom but one of my best friends. :) She’s flying in town tomorrow to spend the weekend with Aaron and I, and I cannot wait!

Love you, Mom! :)
Ps… People say we look like twins, but we don’t see ANY similarities. So funny!

Don’t forget that today is the LAST DAY to enter the Valentine’s Giveaway… The winner will be announced on tomorrow’s blog post!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.” -1 John 3:16

There are so many decisions you have to make for your wedding… Cake or cupcakes? Bird cage or traditional veil? Sparklers or bubbles?Well, here’s ANOTHER decision for you to make! Real or false lashes? Hopefully, I can make this decision very easy for you because I love false lashes!!! They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and this couldn’t be more true than in photography! Your eyes convey so much emotion… Happiness, laughter, contentment, etc, so why not make them POP? Unlike my husband, I have not been blessed with the gift of naturally long, thick lashes. Seriously, not fair… He doesn’t even need them! You might be thinking that fake lashes will make you look like a plastic Barbie doll, especially if you tend to go for a more natural look with your makeup, but they can actually be done VERY naturally! Even if you’re not planning on hiring a professional makeup artist for your wedding day, you can still purchase professional grade lashes to apply yourself… Just make sure you practice putting them on a few times before the wedding, like before your engagement session, so you can put them to good use! If done right, they will make your eyes pop, and you won’t even remember they’re there! Check out this post from Pink Lou Lou for tips on applying them yourself!

Even I wore them!

Happy Wednesday! :)
