Happy Birthday, babe! :)

Do you ever have a day that feels extra Monday-ish when it isn’t actually Monday? Yeah, that’s how I’m feeling today. Aaron is out of town this week, I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, and ups and downs of Fayetteville weather is about to drive me insane. Like any normal girl would do, I turned to some mindless Pinterest browsing, hoping this would cure Tuesday’s case of the Mondays. Almost instantly, I stumbled upon this graphic of my favorite CS Lewis quote:

source: Baylee Hart

It got me to thinking, as a Christian, shouldn’t my everyday feel like a Monday? If I’m truly seeking the Lord daily and finding my satisfaction only in Him, I won’t ever be able to find my satisfaction in the weather, my health, or my relationship with Aaron. While all of these things are undeserved blessings from the Lord, my desires should always reach past the things of this earth, towards the glory of eternity. I could probably work on my case of the grumpies a little bit (okay, a lot), but maybe living with a case of the Mondays is just what I need to keep eternity on my mind.

Happy Tuesday!

One year ago, I put on the most beautiful gown that I’ve ever worn.

One year ago, I was ready to trade in “Hightower”.

One year ago, my mom miraculously got the dress zipped, despite the fact that it had been altered a size too small.

One year ago, all the details that we spent HOURS working on finally came to life.

One year ago, I saw you for the first time that day, and you’d never looked so good.

One year ago, we were surrounded by the most amazing friends and siblings that we could ever ask for.

One year ago, I had the world’s cutest flower girls totally steal the show, but I didn’t mind. :)

One year ago, we took a few deep breaths and nervously prepared for the ceremony.

One year ago, I did the ugly cry all the way down the aisle because I couldn’t believe that God had chosen me to be your wife.

One year ago, we had three of our amazing mentors officiate our wedding because why stop at one?! :)

One year ago, I stared into your eyes and also straight into the sun, causing slight blindness and a whole lot of sweat.

One year ago, we were pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Crawford, and I had the greatest kiss of my life.

One year ago, we each gained a new family.

One year ago, we got super behind on our wedding timeline because we took so many pictures, but I really didn’t care. :)

One year ago, we danced to the song that I’d had picked out for my future husband since 2006, Until You.

One year ago, we had a blast breaking it down on the dance floor.

One year ago, the waiting and distance were finally over, and all of my dreams came true.

One year ago, we embarked on this crazy adventure called “life” as husband and wife.
