How far along: 37 weeks! I’ve read a few things that vary, but for the most part, doctors seem to label this week as full term. Yay!
Total weight gain: 24lbs.
Baby’s size: A watermelon, which explains a lot. He should be weighing a little over 6lbs and measuring around 19inches long.
Maternity clothes: Yep. Actually, last week, I wore an entire outfit that was pre-pregnancy… That was a very proud moment for me. Was it comfortable? No, not at all, but it was a nice break from my normal outfits.
Stretch marks: Still none. I’ve started using Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter at night. Hopefully, that will help them not to sneak attack me in the next few weeks.
Sleep: This is one thing that has drastically changed in the last week or so. I’ve been blessed to be able to sleep very well through most of this pregnancy, but I’ve gotten to the point where I’m so uncomfortable that I’m constantly readjusting in the middle of the night. I’ve also been having contractions sporadically throughout the night that wake me up. Oh, and then there’s still the going to the bathroom every 45 minutes thing.
Best moment of this week: My sweet friends Jamie & Rachel had their babies on Sunday and Wednesday this week. It’s been so fun (and helpful) being pregnant together, and I just loved meeting their precious little ones. And now I’m officially next! That might be what I’m most excited about. :)
Miss anything: Warm weather. I realize this isn’t pregnancy related, but after the temperatures plummeted again following a beautiful, spring-like week, I’m SO over it. Aaron and I were able to go on a walk almost everyday last week, which was exhausting but so nice. I’d like my walking weather back!
Movement: On Monday, my doctor told me that Archer’s movements should be slowing down and becoming more subdued, since he’s running out of room. Well, turns out our child did not get this memo cause he’s still busting out his moves at all hours of the day. It’s getting QUITE painful.
Food cravings: Sam’s Club Pizza, cheeseburgers from Feltner Brothers, Thin Mints, mozzarella sticks, and pretty much any other food that doesn’t contain the least bit of nutrition.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause exactly, but I’ve been pretty nauseous the last few days. I haven’t had this problem since the 1st trimester, and I definitely did not miss it!
Labor signs: I’m having a lot of BH contractions throughout the day. They’re not painful, but they’re starting to get uncomfortable, which make me weirdly happy. My exhaustion has increased, along with my back and leg pain. At my doctor’s appointment on Monday, they told me I’m 1/2cm dilated, 80% effaced, and the little guy has dropped, so that is some progress. I still don’t feel like I’ll make it all the way to the 20th, but again, I have no idea what I’m talking about.
Belly button in or out: Out/flat.
Wedding rings on or off: Still on!
Happy or moody most of the time: Uhhhh… To quote Andy Bernard, I’ve been dealing with a bit of “the grumpies”. The days where I have things to do and places to go aren’t so bad, but when I’m sitting around at home for hours at a time, I tend to get a little frustrated. There’s only so much you can clean and have conversations with your dog.
Looking forward to: Having a baby? It that an acceptable answer? Ha. :)
